Backup & Restore Firewall Configuration

On USB

1. Connect to the firewall via the Console port on the back of the unit. This is done either by a Serial cable or a RJ-45 to Serial cable.

2. Start HyperTrm.exe (Hyper Terminal)

3. Login with user name and password.

4. Execute the command “execute backup config usb <filename_str><backup_password_str>”

    Where Filename_str is Name of the Backup Files

    Backup_password_str is password for the backup file

On FTP Server

1. Connect to the firewall via the Console port on the back of the unit. This is done either by a Serial cable or a RJ-45 to Serial cable.

2. Start HyperTrm.exe (Hyper Terminal)

3. Login with user name and password.

4. Execute the command “execute backup config ftp <filename_str><server_ipv4 or server ame[:port_int]>
   
    [<username_str> [<password_str>]]

    [<backup_password_str>]

    Where Filename_str is Name of the Backup Files

    Backup_password_str is password for the backup file

    Server IP Or Name: Port is the ftp server IP address and port Number

    Username_str is the user name of ftp server

    Password_str is the password of the ftp server

Restore Firewall Configuration

On USB

1. Connect to the firewall via the Console port on the back of the unit. This is done either by a Serial cable or a RJ-45 to Serial cable.

2. Start HyperTrm.exe (Hyper Terminal)

3. Login with user name and password.

4. Execute the command “execute restore config usb <filename_str><backup_password_str>”

    Where Filename_str is Name of the Backup Files

    Backup_password_str is password for the backup file

On FTP Server

1. Connect to the firewall via the Console port on the back of the unit. This is done either by a Serial cable or a RJ-45 to Serial cable.

2. Start HyperTrm.exe (Hyper Terminal)

3. Login with user name and password.

4. Execute the command “execute restoreconfig ftp <filename_str><server_ipv4 or server name[:port_int]>       [<username_str> [<password_str>]]

    [<backup_password_str>]

    Where Filename_str is Name of the Backup Files

    Backup_password_str is password for the backup file

    Server IP Or Name: Port is the ftp server IP address and port Number

    Username_str is the user name of ftp server

    Password_str is the password of the ftp server
